I probably would've asked the doc just how exactly I was supposed to sterilize my nipples, because it sure is gonna do some damage to boil them! 8O

I feel kinda sorry for peds sometimes because nursing moms/babies are in the minority, especially as the babies get older, and the peds deal with ff ALL the time. It probably just becomes habit relating everything to ff rather than bf, just because they deal with that more.

You would think that the ped would've at least looked at the chart before seeing your dc, though.

Just my $.02.

yes i think that's the problem, what makes me upset is that i had to tell him twice that i bf

once he told me "she's gaining weight so well for a bf baby" i asked him why wouldn't she be gaining weight?

Well, that stinks.  He doesn't sound very supportive of breastfeeding if he's making comments about how your baby is "gaining well for a breastfed baby".  None of my peds have ever commented on bf babies not gaining well, I've only heard positive comments like how healthy my kids are and how it is probably due to the breastfeeding.  It always irks me to hear about peds like that Angry
