I have to work for 4 hours a night the next 3 nights. I pumped this am at 8 and got 3 oz. I pumped again at 11 (while nursing) and got 2 oz. I am going to pump as I feed him again before I leave at 2 should get another oz or 2...

I was thinking: should I just not pump at work during those 4 hours unless it hurts? Because the 6 oz I just got today is MORE than enough to feed him while I am gone for 4 hours.

Or should I pump once at work anyways? Do I really need to make up for the missed feeding while away if I made an extra 5 oz today already?

Hey, Rachel!  Wow, no one's posted here in a long time!  I'm happy to be able to mod something again!  lol

First of all, how old is your DS again?  Do you have supply issues?

If you have no supply issues, I'd say it all depends on whether you're interested in building up a freezer stash or not.  If that's not important to you, I don't think it would be necessary to pump.  But if you like having that extra, or if you have any supply issues, I would definitely pump.

Will you have a place to pump at work?

Well, I am glad to be posting! Smiley

Jonah is 5 1/2 months old.  I do not have supply issues. Well, I guess I have a bit of an over supply. and that's OK with me.

I do have a freezer stash, and that is what we use while I am away. Some of it is a few months old so I want to use it. I put my freshly pumped milk in the freezer, or mix it with my older milk for taste purposes. I work in people's homes, so yes, there usually is a place to pump.

I did pump once while I was at work, at the 2 hour mark and I got 3 oz. When I came home, the baby was asleep after having drank the whole 6 oz I left for him! (from this AM) I really want to nurse but he is asleep, so I guess I have to pump again.
