Worst thing about working outside the home: Missing dd every single minute of every single day!

It's important to remember that feminism is no longer a group of organizations or leaders. It's the expectations that parents have for their daughters, and their sons, too. I totally agree.  And it's not just coworkers- I feel like a lot of people told me my supply would drop, I'd have to suppliment with formula, etc.  It gave me so much anxiety when I first went back to work.  But if you put your mind to it, it can be done- it just takes dedication and a plan.

I've been really lucky, all my coworkers are really supportive of my pumping needs. I told them as soon as I got the job what I'd be needing to do, and they all think it's great. I put it to my boss that giving the baby breastmilk would hopefully mean less sick days for her ... and me!

How much do you pump per day?: 8 oz over 2 pumpings; I tried to cut back to 1x/day but whenever I do I end up with mastitis

Name: Nicci
Age of nursling: almost 4 months
Do you work fulltime or parttime?: very part time now (1 12 hour shift/week)
How much do you pump per day?: 12-15 oz
Type of Pump?: Hospital pump (work in NICU)
Best thing about working outside the home: get to help other mommies & take care of sweet babies
Worst thing about working outside the home: missing my babies & dh
Best PWOH tip: I pumped for 18 months with ds & worked full time (3 12 hour shifts) until he was 10 mons & then part time (2 12 hour shifts) until dd was born.
I pumped early before I went back to work every time I felt full or felt like ds could have nursed more & built up a huge supply.  I pumped every time I could at work (usually 3 times in 12 hours) & I pumped any time I was away from him & missed a feeding no matter how big my supply was.  I never ran out of milk or had supply issues.

Age of nursling: 9 mos
Fulltime/ parttime?: Fulltime
How much do you pump per day?: 4x per day for a total of 14 ounces (I dont make a lot of milk just enough for my dd- when I can I squeeze in a fifth session)
Type of Pump?: PIS Advanced
Best thing about working outside the home: Adult contact and despite its problems I like the actual work.
Worst thing about working outside the home: Missing the look on my dd's face while she nurses - I love that face, I never want to forget that face.
Best PWOH tip: Investing in the Easy Expressions Bustier.  I held my horns for 3 months, used the paperclip and rubberband for 1 month, heard about the pumping bra and bought it (it was easy to justify the expense) and I have been hands free and have actually pumped a little bit more (personally I did not like the idea of investing in a pumping bra that can be worn as a bra this goes over whatever you are wearing).  I do not have access to a fridge so in the beginning I had one set of horns I constantly washed.  I finally invested in three additional sets of horn (it took the stress away from taking so much time during work to pump and then wash the parts).
