just to find out I have double pneumonia. Yay. They called it "fire lungs" because the crispy crackles in my lower lobes was so bad. Had to have 2 breathing treatments before they would let me leave, the stupid ass bastards, and I only say that because respiratory was so freakin slow to get to me both times. Now I understand that it is an ER and they're busy and all that but it still shouldn't take an hour to get a neb treatment, should it? Then another hour for the doc to come back and proclaim I need another one, an hour for them to come BACK and set things up again (when I just used the same freakin equipment all they had to do was dump in the med and turn the pump back on).
I also had to have a bigass shot of Rocephin in my rear, that was fun and hurt like a mother! I finally got up and said I was leaving if things didn't move a little faster and whaddaya know, things moved a little faster! I was out of there 45 minutes later.
had to take a cab home, as Andy and the kids finally went home around 1:30 - the kids just couldn't take it anymore. Let me just say, after that ride I will never complain about Andy's driving again! Holy CRAP! I appreciate that he got me there in under $30 but jesus!
So I'm on prednisone, Levaquin and a cough syrup that's supposed to knock me flat for 12 hours at a time. And camping till Tuesday. Lovely, Lovely, Lovely, and I HATE that my &$%^#$& husband won't either cancel the trip or just go without me. HATE IT. All he has to say on the topic is "there is a hospital right around the corner." After last night's performance I DON'T WANT A REPEAT. ASSHOLE.

There aint no way in hell I would go camping with double pneumonia. You need to be in bed; sleeping your guts out. I hope you are on the mend soon.

Staying in bed is booooooorrriiiiiiiiiing... but I agree with you. The best I can do at the moment is get my computer up there and meal plan from up there.

*yes I'm upstairs now Help me come up with super easy, HE can cook it and I don't have to do NUTHIN meals. We need 1 meal Sunday (MAYBE 2 depending on how fast we can set up), 3 Monday and probably just one Tuesday when we will pull out ( ). Grocery stores and fast food are EASILY accessible for anything we might forget. Breakfast is going to be easy - cold cereal for the boys, something they would NEVER EVER get at home (cocoa puffs for example). Andy and I will probably have oatmeal. We have an outdoor grill and 3 burners inside and a large assortment of pots and pans and utensils since we got all new pans & utensils for Christmas last year. Check-in is noon so actually I guess only one meal for Sunday. I'm thinking spaghetti Sunday night; he can fry hamburger outside and do noodles inside; -safe hot dogs for Monday lunch (hey, it's camping!!) with SunChip for Tuesday Lunch for the kids; -Spaghetti-O's for the kids Monday lunch since again, it's camping and SUPER easy (we have a small microwave) and we'll be in the process of packing up need Monday night dinner - steak for the adults? and mashed potatoes (out of a box.. what? it's camping!!) and beans. But what about the kids - they won't eat steak unless forced. I could make REAL mac-n-cheese but I'm not positive the oven works. but we could prepare everything in advance and just assemble and cook. Definitely test the oven before leaving!! If nothing else they can have damn PBJ for dinner and quitcherbitchin. Sunday lunch for adults - we'll be gone after that.

I don't understand- he won't cancel the trip or go without you? So, if you were to tell him that you're too ill to go camping and refuse to go, what would happen? IMO he's being a jerk.

I would not be going. David wouldn't love the idea, but he'd take the kids without me. I would get everything ready food-wise, and write out detailed directions, but I would stay home and sleep.

I wouldn't go. Double pneumonia is something you take seriously. He can pout in the corner if he wants to.

Phrick, there is no way in hell you should be going camping with double pneumonia. No way. I don't care how little you think you have to do, it's damn near abusive to try to make someone that sick go. Do not go.

Dude, you need to refuse to go. Period. There's a great chance that you will get sicker and maybe need to be hospitalized if you sleep outside right now. Get a doctor's note or whatever.
Sure, make some lists and suggestions, but either he reschedules and you do it when you're healthy, or he takes the boys.
eta - and I hope you feel better soon!

Feel better soon. I agree there is no way in hell you should be going camping, even if for argumnet's sake it were easy all the stuff in the air is not good for your lungs.
Flat out refuse, he is being an ass if he cares more about it than your health.

Well, it's Sunday night. I suspect you are already camping. I'm so sorry. When I had pneumonia I had to have my mom come and help me care for the kids while Thor was at work. It was truly awful. I slept about 16 hours a day for four days. The meds made me feel horrible. It took me four months to get back to feeling 100% better. I can't imagine not being at home in my own bed. Why would your husband do this to you? I don't understand.
